About the project
A distributed national team, building one platform.
iDLab brings together six institutions with decades of combined experience operating national cyberinfrastructure - ACCESS and NAIRR systems, science gateways, and large-scale data services - to build a unified, interactive environment for research and education.
Partners
Six institutions
Led by UCLA OARC, in collaboration with five NSF-supported computing sites.
| Institution | Role | Contribution |
|---|---|---|
| UCLA OARC | Lead | Project leadership, platform development, integration, and coordination. |
| NCSA | Partner | Site integration and operations on Delta / DeltaAI. |
| PSC | Partner | Site integration and operations on Bridges-2. |
| Purdue | Partner | Site integration and operations on Anvil / Anvil AI. |

Governance
How the project is run
UCLA OARC leads technical strategy, integration, and coordination, with co-PIs and a site PI guiding work at each site. Standing working groups cover identity, data, applications, and operations, and an external advisory board provides independent guidance. Sites retain autonomy over their local systems while following shared operational practices.
