How the project is run
</h2>

UCLA leads technical strategy, integration, and coordination, with co-PIs and a site PI guiding work at each site. Standing working groups cover identity, data, applications, and operations, and an external advisory board provides independent guidance. Sites retain autonomy over their local systems while following shared operational practices.

iDLab extends NSF cyberinfrastructure rather than duplicating it. It adds an interactive layer and a shared data environment on top of participating ACCESS and NAIRR systems, which continue to be operated by their sites.
