Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information the iDLab website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. iDLab is a project of OneSciencePlace, led by UCLA.

What we collect
Information this site collects
We collect only what is needed to operate the site securely and understand how it is used.

IP addresses
When your browser requests a page, the site records the requesting IP address. This identifies the computer making the request, not you personally. We use it to measure usage and detect misuse. It is never made public and never sold.

Cookies
If you sign in, the site sets a temporary session cookie — a unique number with nothing personal in it — to keep you logged in and remember preferences. Blocking or deleting cookies disables sign-in features; the rest of the site still works.

Email addresses
If you create an account or contact us, we store your email address for administrative and security communication. It is never made public and never sold.
How we use it
Using your information
We use the limited information above to operate the website, keep accounts secure, respond to your enquiries, and understand aggregate usage so we can improve iDLab. We do not use it for advertising.

Publicly posted content
Anything you choose to post publicly may include personal information that becomes visible to others. Please share thoughtfully — if you post personal information publicly, you do so at your own risk.
Third-party services
Sign-in and external services
As iDLab comes online, signing in may use federated identity providers such as CILogon and Globus Auth. When you authenticate through these services, their handling of your credentials is governed by their own privacy policies.
Changes
Updates to this policy
We may change, add to, or remove parts of this policy at any time as the project develops. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
